A watershed is a drainage basin that collects precipitation, which eventually drains to a common water body (e.g., stream, lake, wetland and ocean, etc.). Watersheds come in all shapes and sizes. They cross city, county, state, and national boundaries. No matter where you are, you're in a watershed!
